Chromeo has entered the New Year with a new single off their highly-anticipated record White Women.

“Come Alive” hearkens back to classic Chromeo with funky dance rhythms, 80’s synthesizers, and innuendo laden lyrics. The song also features vocals from indie darling Toro y Moi which complements David Macklovitch’s voice quite well.

Come Alive is a vote of confidence for the new Chromeo album, as their first two singles, Over Your Shoulder and Sexy Socialite, seemed to lack the  signature sound we’ve come to know and love from Chromeo.

The duo has yet to set a release date for their first album in four years but chances are we will have it by Spring 2014.

White Women will also feature appearances by Solange Knowles, LCD Soundsytem’s Pat Mahoney, Fool’s Gold’s Oliver, and Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig.
