Last week

I’ve resorted back to my nasty trap habits, and I came across two mixes that really got me all hot and bothered. The first of which is is Flosstradamus‘s long-awaited BNNED 3D Mixtape. It’s 2014 and these guys no longer require any sort of intro. So just listen, would ya?

The third installment of Flossy‘s BNNED series is characterized by the Chicago duo’s unwavering taste for twerk-friendly party music and massive festie trap, the same brands of music that sent the #HDYBYZ to the forefront of the global trap explosion and earned them a spot on this year’s Coachella lineup.

If you ever find yourself on Greek Row without any recollection of when or how you got there, be sure to put this mix on. It’s short, sweet, and will allot you just enough time to either escape or stay and do something so utterly PLURNT you’ll be considered a pledge class legend for centuries to come.

The second of the two mixes is THUGLI’s BBCR1 Diplo & Friends Mix. I wasn’t all too familiar with the Canadian duo prior to this week. But it appears as if trapmania has found its way into the tender hands of our brothers to the north. And lo and behold, they’re absolutely slaying the genre!

THUGLI, comprised of Pat Drastik and Tom Wrecks, take eclecticism to a whole new level, utilizing tracks by everyone from Purity Ring to Pusha T to Ta-ku to Araabmuzik; they even manage to toss in plenty of their own originals and remixes.

This mix is perfect for impressing that cute raver fairy chick that met at HARD Summer. She looooves hula hooping but haaaates the Harlem Shake. THUGLI falls somewhere in the middle, allowing her to manifest her oneness with the universe but still get a little buckwild.
