The Japanese duo of disk jockeys individually known as Ses and Noxin, collectively known as Watapachi, have been making noise worldwide for some time. I say some time, because I don’t actually know how long it’s been. Let’s call it three years. That’s probably wrong. What I do know is that these masked crusaders of dope ass beats just dropped their new Black Onyx Mixtape and it bumps harder than a fat boy in a club on Saturday night (that’s me!)

While they may be Japanese, Ses and Noxin spent a lot of time in the United States during their youth and picked up an ear for that Western boom bap, which explains why my freedom-loving ears just can’t stop clamoring for more from these two talented young fellers.

Shut your mouth, close your eyes, take off your pants and hit play. Come back later and tell us how much you enjoyed this melodic racket of trap, drum and bass, hip hop and other genres. You probably won’t come back, but at the very least, do take your pants off and jam.

OWSLA Records has been making a name for itself without the use of some of its bigger name clientele. With their releases from lesser-known artists like Icarus and Alesia, Skrillex’s monster label is slowly becoming one of the best sources for breaking up-and-coming producers onto the EDM scene.

Their newest release is from Israel-born, Austin-based producer, The Widdler, entitled Spacetime. The EP is by far one of the most refreshing to have come from the record label, as it showcases some serious range of talent. The Widdler, aka Yoni Oron, has actually been producing for quite some time now — and it shows in Spacetime. From Drum N Bass to Dubstep, Spacetime is a blast from the past that still packs a HUGE punch.

The Spacetime EP hosts an impressively diverse range of sound from the innovative producer, with extraterrestrial Drum N Bass found in the opening tune “Satúk” leading into the menacing snarls of Drumstep in “Odyssey” before finally wrapping up with a heady, galactic downtempo vibe in “Breathe.” Usually with eclectic EPs like Spacetime, it’s easy to pick out the artist’s strong suit genre-wise, but The Widdler really displays his knowledge of Bass music in all forms with this one.

Almost 8 months after the release of his single “Get Down Low,” on SoundCloud, TC has officially re-released it along with two others (and a remix) on OWSLA records. The title track of the EP has been a festival hit, being heard in sets from world-class DJs including Dog Blood.

The EP is a fine example of TC’s work from the past and present. “Get Down Low” is a perfect example of the producer’s current trap phase mixed with his drum and bass roots. “Vegas,” is another great showcase of TC’s d&b background, while “Do You Rock” brings his more current trap experiment to light.

More than just another faceless DJ or studio-confined producer, early on TC broke convention by singing on many of his own tracks, and provided vocals for Pendulum’s debut album ‘Hold Your Colour’, a habit he continues to this day, having recently supplied vocals for Hospital starlets Camo & Krooked’s debut LP and the mighty Subfocus’ forthcoming second album.

After taking a short break from the spotlight, 2011 saw TC return to the raves and the airwaves in style, dropping one of the year’s biggest D&B bangers ‘Tap Ho’ while turning his hand to dubstep on ‘Concrete’ and drumstep on ‘Burning Starlight’ (both featuring vocals from Dread MC). Released through his own freshly launched record label, Don’t Play, the artistic freedom offered by being his own boss is already clearly paying dividends for TC.

“I’m not playing around anymore; I don’t want to do things by halves,” TC stated in a recent interview. “I think I’m at a stage now where I can choose my own path.” And with Don’t Play firing on all cylinders, a packed global DJ schedule and more massive tracks up his sleeve, TC is quite clearly on the right path

Singularity recently released his third and latest EP named Rift.  Featuring four incredible tracks, this EP includes melodic dubstep and drum & bass with great female and male vocals. “Drowning” presents us with an uplifting drum n bass track with robotic and male vocals. “Home” switches it up with his melodic dubstep melody featuring Anne Yvette. Following the same path, “Vain” shows off its own distinct dubstep melody paired with male vocals and a lasting piano segment by Evan Duffy.
