Figure has thrown a ridiculous amount of his bass firepower into this track. Downlink’s already nasty original gets a VIP from the Indiana-based dubstep producer. Figure claims that this has been the edit he has been playing out at all of his shows. Featuring shorter breakdowns between its nasty drops and a previously unreleased drum n’ bass drop to finish it off, this track is nothing short of a huge dubstep and bass banger. Time and time again Excision has proven to be one of the most hardcore dubstep producers. He certainly doesn’t let up now in collaboration with Space Laces, as two of their fresh new VIP’s hit the stage. “Bounce” was previously seen in Excision’s Shambhala 2013 mix which was released in September of last year. As this trap and dubstep mix blows you away, you can tell they had fun with electro-house “Funk Hole” as the ending is absolutely ridiculous. I know what you’re thinking: “we’re not worthy”.

Wuki tastefully dishes out an abundance of self-described “Booty Tech” on the first three songs, including the title track, (you guessed it) Framework. He also incorporates just enough electro and dub elements to keep all the bassheads at bay. The fourth track, Di Air, sounds a lot like an early 00’s Timbaland/Missy Elliot track on speed, which is awesome.

The Denver-based producer/DJ was even so kind as to include a VIP remix of one of the hotter joints on the EP, Happy Accidents.

It’s becoming more and more evident that Skrillex and his band of OWSLA-nauts are here to push the EDM envelope, enlisting innovative artists who are both talented and brave enough to develop new breeds of music. It’ll be interesting to see what sort of groundbreaking sounds the boys over at the Nest are planning to dish out as the year progresses.

As you may have noticed, we’ve been keeping a pretty close eye on this festival, and with good reason.  With big names like Bassnectar and Griz, how could we not?  As the 14^th creeps closer like your bogus sedan sliding down an icy road, the fellas over at TMF continue to reveal more details that are both thrilling and perplexing.

From the beginning, the festival has offered several types of tickets, ranging from the run-of-the-mill GA passes to the upscale, Scottsdale-style TRUEVIP pass.   Until recently, there wasn’t much reason to make the upgrade from regular VIP to TRUEVIP; that is, until they released a key bit of information.

According to a recent Facebook post, TRUEVIP pass owners will have the ability to skydive into the festival.  Seriously.

That’s not even the extent of the madness.  Once inside, TRUEVIP members will be treated with a personal cocktail waitress, a personal menu with catering provided by Arizona’s finest chefs, and, oh yes, an executive bathroom.

Can’t quite afford the VIP treatment? That’s okay, neither can we, but if you’re an ASU student, you have about 8 hours left to cash in on a special promo code that’ll shave $20 off the top of your GA ticket.  (The code is ASUTMF, but you didn’t hear it from us).

On top of all this, the festival has announced a first-come, first-serve pre-party with a DJ set from Capital Cities on the night of the 13th, at the INTL Champagne bar / Boutique Nightclub. TMF promises an intimate experience with one of the biggest acts of the festival, so don’t miss it.

The guys over at TMF aren’t pulling any punches for this debut, and with the ferocious lineup, we’re expecting nothing short of an explosively good time.
