This morning, HARD Summer released a bit of news that will get festival-goers all giddy. OWSLA will take over one of the stages for this year event, and will include artists Jack Beats, Kill The Noise, What So Not, Alex Metric, The M Machine, Henry Fong, Valentino Khan, David Heartbreak, Alesia, and Etnik. Damn.

Not sure what the other stages will look like, but I for one think that the OWSLA Tent is worth the ticket price alone.

The good people at HARD also released an official OWSLA Tent Mixtape by none other than Alex Metric.

Over a half a year after the release of Middle Finger Pt. 2, Dog Blood has released a remix album that includes an onslaught of murderously fresh takes  on some of the biggest tracks of last year.

Boys Noize and Skrillex have enlisted the talents of DJ Sliink, Bok Bok, Alesia, Bambounou, Kevin Saunderson, and S-Type to produce some insane reworkings of their second EP. From Garage House to Trap, the remix album features a mix of different genres that take the originals to an entirely different level, making them almost completely unique tracks of their own.

As a part of their Jeffrees series, featuring more lesser-known, up-and-coming acts, Mad Decent has released a new EP that puts a Christmas spin on some of the more popular Jeffrees tracks of 2013 entitled A Very Decent Christmas. 

Tracks include a “Jingle Bells” version of “Bird Machine” by DJ Snake and Alesia, a “Frosty the Snowman” version of Diplo‘s “Express Yourself,” and a “Deck The Halls” version of Juyen Subulba’s “Super Jam.” The EP as a whole is somewhat cheesy but brings a warm, holiday feel to some of the dirtiest electronic tracks of the year.

French duo Alesia have officially released their newest EP, Andrea, on OWSLA Records. The two first hit the EDM scene with their smash hit, “Bird Machine,” which blew up so much it was even featured in a Target commercial. 

Alesia claims to be a genre-less group (“We make music, fuck a genre. If it’s good, it’s good”), and their EP continues to deliver that message. Andrea is packed with a wide variety of different EDM genres. From trap-like breakdowns to dark and funky Gesaffelstein-like bass lines, this EP is a whirlwind of creepy electronic fun.
