Diplo’s Mad Decent Block Party 2013 has officially announced tour dates and artists. Starting mid-July in Calgary and ending in September in San Diego, the MDBP will be bringing it’s high-energy summer fun across the country. Acts like Major Lazer, Zeds Dead, Dillon Francis and RIFF RAFF will be there for most of the dates, with some up and coming acts like RL Grime, Baauer, Big Gigantic and Griz joining in on the fun.

It’s been five years since the release of Nine Inch Nail’s last record, “The Slip,” and fans have (less than) eagerly been awaiting Trent Reznor’s next attempt (the last few albums had some fans questioning why Reznor was heading in a more experimental direction). On May 28th, however, Trent surprised fans with a post on the NIN website saying, “Surprise: New NIN album is finished, coming later this year on Columbia Records.”

The website also features a quote of Trent stating:

“I’ve been less than honest about what I’ve really been up to lately. For the last year I’ve been secretly working non-stop with Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder on a new, full-length Nine Inch Nails record, which I am happy to say is finished and frankly fucking great. This is the real impetus and motivation behind the decision to assemble a new band and tour again. My forays into film, HTDA and other projects really stimulated me creatively and I decided to focus that energy on taking Nine Inch Nails to a new place. Here we go!”

The album will be officially released to the radio today at 11:30 a.m. PDT. Nine Inch Nails can also be added to the list of artists being signed with Columbia Records right behind Daft Punk for their recent release of Random Access Memories.

The group, with rumors of a new lineup, will also be hitting the road this summer with stops at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Leeds Festival, and the Made in America festival in Philadelphia. More tour dates here:

Since roughly 2011, Zeds Dead has been considered one of the top EDM artists of the new wave of electronic music after their release of their first official single, “Rudeboy,” which has ended up in mixes and live sets of countless other DJ’s. In 2004 they released “Rumble in the Jungle” on EDM mogul Diplo’s Mad Decent, which went to the top spot on Beatport’s breakbeat chart.

Zeds Dead has been touring since late 2010 across the UK and the US and have had support from acts like AraabMUZIK, XI and Knight Riderz. They’ve had countless performances at festivals like HARD Summer, Coachella, Lolllapalooza Chile, and even shared the stage with Kid Rock and Garth Brooks during a performance in Afghanistan.

Phish has officially announced the dates for their summer 2013 tour. With only 25 cities on the list, one of the most iconic jam bands since The Grateful Dead will once again return to the road to bring their spectacle of a show to the US.

Some of the major venues include two shows at the legendary Gorge in George, Washington (July 26th & 27th) and three nights at the newly renovated Charter One Pavilion in Chicago (July 19th, 20th, & 21st).

Upon their announcement, Phish has also released a rather eerie video depicting a man slowly losing his sanity as he waits to go “back on tour,” and begins to write the tour dates in his blood.

With rumors of the band being back in the studio, Phish-heads may be in for some new material on this tour.
