If you’re like me, you hate exercising. I barely exercised at all until suddenly I discovered one of the first GPS games, Ingress, by the creators of Pokemon Go in 2012. Since then I’ve played at least 1-4 hours a day of GPS games, Monday- Friday with a few years of breaks.
The main benefits of GPS games are:
- Exercise – It’s great exercise to run around the locations in your neighborhood or wherever you are.
- Make friends. The chatrooms and community can be great.
- Works well with Bicycling. Get a Bike Phone Mount.
- Learning the area you live in.
- Working with maps & planning out the ideal routes. Maps are awesome.
- Making going lame places more exciting. If someone sends you somewhere stupid, you’re happy to go. Hah.
