Fresh off the crazed releases of “Jealous” and “Selfie“, The Chainsmokers quickly reappear to deliver an astounding remix of Adventure Club’s famed track, “Wonder”. Previously, we have seen T-Mass’s and X5IGHT’s own tasteful takes on this highlight of a track, although The Chainsmokers take quite the different turn. Once again keeping the astonishing vocals of The Kite String Tangle, the track features relaxing, yet upbeat big-room drops accompanied by crisp and delightful builds. The Chainsmokers also provided their insight on Adventure Club and vice-versa below.

Quickie from us: Well we love Adventure club and have admired them for a long time. the guys are personable, make great music and are pretty good looking… In many ways we feel we are the same haha jokes, but Adventure were one of the few artists who reached out to us when we started and were cool and supported our music, so when they hit us up about remixing Wonder our fav track off their last album we couldn’t resist, that and we want to collab with them so we really had no other option. That said, we think the remix turned out great, we actually see a little bits of our previous work in it, little nods to Around us and Julian. In the end we hope we did the track justice infusing it with a tasteful amount of uptempo progressive house while still remaining true to our style.”

What happens when some of the two most reputable names in melodic dubstep are in the same song title? You get absolute gold. Adventure Club released their Calling All Heroes EP no more than three months ago. One of the four tracks on this incredible EP, “Wonder“, showcased how executing male vocals with the right elements can result in the same impression you would get with remarkable female vocals.

T-Mass continues to exceed expectations with the release of this extraordinary remix. While keeping all of the magnificent vocals Kite String Tan provides, he gives the perfect push of his signature melodic style. It’s refreshing to see a classic and melodic dubstep tune showcasing the indisputable talents of this Santa Cruz producer. Stating that he indeed and evidently put an insane amount of time into this, it has well paid off. He has submitted this tune into Adventure Club’s “Wonder” Remix Competition. Usually when Adventure Club releases their massive “Superheroes Anonymous” mixes they tend to end around an hour. It seems just three days before Christmas, Adventure Club shares the next installment in their mix series, dubbed ” Superheroes Anonymous 4 (Live on Tour Edition)”. For all who aren’t familiar with Adventure Club, they are a Canadian electronic dance music duo based out of Montreal, Quebec composed of Christian Srigley and Leighton James.

Being one of the dominating producers of melodic dubstep, with the release of this EP they’ve stated that they did not want to be defined by one genre alone.

Starting off with their first track, “Gold ft. Yuna”, they present yet another track that goes back to their roots. The combination of their melodic dubstep and Yuna’s vocals makes this track an instant classic, alongside their remixes of “Youth“, “Crave You” and “Lullabies“.

“Wonder Feat. The Kite String Tangle” goes to show how male vocals can be just as beautiful as female vocals. It’s quite easy to lose yourself in this track with it’s chill vibes.

“Crash” is a heavy electro-house track infused with yet another fantastic female vocalist. They show you how unique and fresh they can be compared to other artists, even when they step out of their own genre. This song has me destroying the replay button.

With “Thunderclap”, they step into the big-room festival scene. With a mad buildup to a huge fist-pumping drop, this song has banger written all over it.

We here at JNTM are very excited to welcome Raffi to the writer staff!  Raffi is a Los Angeles resident studying Computer Science at California State University, Northridge.

When Raffi isn’t writing for Just Noise to Me, he enjoys swimming, exercising, watching movies and shows. Let’s take a look at what else he had to say about himself.

JNTM: Who are some of your favorite producers/DJs right now?

Raffi: Feed Me, Deadmau5, Adventure Club, Carnage, Mat Zo, Armin Van Buuren, Datsik, Kaskade, Ummet Ozcan and Flux Pavilion would be a handful.

JNTM: If you could see any DJ/artist perform live, who would it be?

Raffi: I would probably have to go with the Mau5 on this one.

JNTM: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

Raffi: I really admire Europe. One of my choices would be Ibiza.

JNTM: What are some genres you really like and some that you really hate? Any that you hate you like?

Raffi: I could say I like mostly everything in the electronic sub-genres: trap-style, trance, electro house, dubstep, and progressive house.

I am very selective when it comes to drum n’ bass tracks. I’m not sure why. I do enjoy classical, rock, and some hip-hop/rap too. Country music and most pop tracks on the radio are not for me.

JNTM: What’s one thing you’re willing to admit that most people don’t know about you?

Raffi: While sharing this much love for electronic dance music, I never got around to going to an Insomniac event yet. This is my goal!
